Process
A business model describes how a company creates, delivers, and captures value. The Business Model Canvas categorizes the processes and internal activities of a business into nine separate categories, each representing a building block in the creation of the product or service. These categories represent the four major aspects of a business; customers, offer, infrastructure, and financial viability.
The process of creating the Business Model Canvas is almost as useful as having the finished canvas itself. It's a thought exercise that is meant to be completed by a group. The group should be comprised of relevant stakeholders, and all of the blocks should be answered at a high level. This is meant to showcase a holistic view of the entire business model, so there is no need to dive too deeply into any of the blocks.
Here is a useful 4-minute video that thoroughly explains how to approach answering each block for your own business.
